I am pleased to announce we are back in business, albeit with Social Distancing during these challenging times.
I would like to welcome everyone back and let you know how things will be running until this virus is under control.
We have put stringent health and safety procedures in place, in line with Government Guidelines for patients and practitioner’s safety and reassurance.
Hands will need to be sanitized on arrival and is also available for use on departure, masks will always need to be worn, by patient and practitioner.
A risk assessment will be done at the start of each treatment, to guarantee patients have no symptoms before treatment. This will help to protect everyone, especially the shielding and vulnerable groups.
We ask that no one arrives if they have any of the following symptoms: NEW dry cough, fever, loss of taste or smell.
Full PPE will always be worn, by the practitioner in accordance with Government Guidelines.
High levels of practitioner hygiene will be adhered to as normal with regular and thorough hand washing throughout the day and between every appointment.
To maintain hygiene standards, thorough and regular cleaning will be done between every appointment.
Appointments will be booked every 45 minutes, to prevent patient interaction and to allow additional time for cleaning of all areas, prior to the next appointment.
New appointments cards will be given out with each booking.
Deep cleaning of surfaces and equipment will be done at the end of the day.
We would ask you to make sure you are always on time for your appointment so we can keep these measures in place.
And we request that you wait outside until your appointment time, to allow for cleaning and to prevent patient interaction.
Please make every effort not to move or cancel your appointment. There will be long gaps already between appointments, therefore less availability and we want to make sure that everyone who needs to be seen can be. Your thoughtfulness will be much appreciated.
Please limit the number of family members, carers and children accompanying you when you are visiting the surgery. Except in exceptional circumstances they will have to wait on the driveway.
Patients will be contacted immediately should the practitioner become aware of a possible risk of transmission.
Please understand that we are trying to finish each appointment promptly to minimise and control patient interaction and to maintain hygiene standards.
The preferred method of payment is contactless.
We would like to take this opportunity to personally thank NHS staff, key workers and all those who have worked valiantly and tirelessly to keep this country functioning throughout a truly extraordinary time.
