Loft Conversions
A converted Loft can be used for variety of purposes, but the best conversions
are those planed with a specific purpose in mind. Below is a list
of possible uses and some of our thoughts on each.
Bedroom Design
Whether the space is for a spare room for guests, a master bedroom sanctuary, a
study, an office, or a solution to growing family's needs the options are endless.
With modern sound-proofing, heating and ventilation materials and equipment the
days of loft being a place of extremes of temperature are past.
The stairs leading to Lofts tend be a little steeper, therefore the added security
of solid doors and enclosed staircases is to be recommended, as they help to contain
noise, light and maintain temperatures.
Bathroom Designs
Not just an en suite is possible within your loft, but the entire loft can be
converted into a luxury bathroom, tiled and with a luxurious bath.
Turn your loft into a place to relax and unwind with subtle indirect lighting,
reflective surfaces, white Velux skylights.
Modern under floor heating systems can even turn ceramic and stone tiles
into warm floors.
If you are working to a tight budget then we offer a selection
of loft conversion options including a package known as the shell scheme
where we will do as much or as little of the work as you
require.
Playroom Design
The key to a successful playroom is safety, storage space, cleanliness and comfort.
Playroom designs need have secure doors, space saving built into storage
cupboards, easy clean surfaces and floor areas with hard and soft coverings.
Often we can build cupboards into the side or "knee" walls, thus maximizing
the available space.
Windows
Velux specialize in windows for roofs and have a wide range
to suit all needs, a smooth, white, polyurethane skylight window with
heat reflective glass for temperature control is just one option. When
teamed with blackout Siesta blinds which are ideal for daytime light
control, nursery naps are easily catered for. To see the full range
